The falls that the town of Granite Falls is named after is only 7 miles (as the crow flies) from my home; but a 45 minute drive to get there.
The Falls normally are a quiet swimming hole where in the summer families cool off under it's shear granite canyon walls.
When record rains hit this area today the Falls roared.
