Flying with Brother Terry

Flying with Brother Terry; Page-2

We made out turn at Darrington and picked up the Mountain Loop Highway. White Horse Mountain is on the right.

After crossing Barlow Pass and turning west we pass the popular Big Four Ice Caves; an avalanche area that each summer gets hollowed out by snow melt and forms beautiful ice caves. You can see two caves here.

Mount Baker, to the North, was the backdrop across this area of slightly lessor mountains.

Here is another nostalgic view. This is Three Fingers Mountain. Terry and I climbed to the top of this about 1985 and spent and afternoon in the fire lookout.

Pilot Terry Higman is in complete and calm control. I didn't get at all worried until he told me that we had to be careful about going into deadend canyons because we couldn't back out!
